Repair Service

A Degree Above is a full service air conditioning and heating contractor.  We are available for repair service Monday through Friday 8:00AM to 5:00PM. Emergency service is available 24/7.

Trucks are stocked with all parts needed for the most common failures.


New Installation

When it's time to replace your existing system, A Degree Above will take the necessary steps to ensure a proper installation.

Size and construction of the home will be considered and equipment size checked with Manual J Heat Load.

Condition and sizing of existing duct and refrigerant piping will be evaluated.

During installation, all steps will be taken to ensure a clean, tight system.


Maintenance

A Degree Above provides cooling and heating efficiency and safety inspections.

Cooling inspections are performed in the Spring and include the following:

  1. Check and record system pressures
  2. Check and record system temperatures
  3. Check and record compressor capacitor condition
  4. Check and record condenser fan capacitor condition
  5. Check and record blower capacitor condition
  6. Check and record compressor amperage
  7. Check and record condenser fan amperage
  8. Check and record blower amperage
  9. Check and record superheat and subcooling
  10. Check and record voltage
  11. Clear drain line if needed
  12. Install algae tablets
  13. Check thermostat operation
  14. Check compressor contactor
  15. Check starting components
  16. Check evaporator coil (if accessible)
  17. Clean condenser coil (water only, will notify if unit needs to be dismantled to remove dirt and leaves)
  18. Refrigerant leak search if needed
  19. Check all electrical connections
  20. Visually inspect duct
  21. Email detailed report

Heating inspections are performed in the Fall and include the following:

  1. Check and record system temperatures
  2. Check and record blower amperage
  3. Check and record inducer motor amperage
  4. Check and record gas pressure
  5. Check and record flame sensor condition
  6. Check flame characteristics
  7. Check thermostat operation
  8. Check safety limit switches
  9. Visually inspet duct
  10. Check vent pipe
  11. Check pressure switch
  12. Check and record blower capacitor condition
  13. Check for CO detector
  14. Check and record heat strip amperage (electric heat systems)
  15. Check operation of heat relays (electric heat systems)
  16. Email detailed report
